Southeastern Health Economics Study Group Conference
September 19-20, 2025

The Department of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host the 22nd Annual Southeastern Health Economics Study Group (SHESG).

The purpose of this invitational conference is to present and promote active exchange and discussion of the latest health economics research among senior and junior economists. Some meals will be provided. All other expenses, including transportation and lodging, are the participants’ responsibility.

Ten papers have been accepted for presentation. The conference will consist of a full day of presentations on Friday September 19 and a half-day of presentations on Saturday September 20. Each paper will be allotted 55 minutes, including 36-40 minutes for presentation, 10-12 minutes for discussant comments, and 5-7 minutes for discussion from the floor. Participation in the conference will be limited and is by invitation only; email donna_gilleskie@unc.edu if you are interested.

It is expected that participants will read the papers prior to the conference and attend all sessions. The papers will be available on a google drive site for registered participants after August 29, 2025.
