SHESG 2025

Southeastern Health Economics Study Group Conference
September 19-20, 2025

The Department of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host the 22nd Annual Southeastern Health Economics Study Group (SHESG).

The purpose of this invitational conference is to present and promote active exchange and discussion of the latest health economics research among senior and junior economists. Some meals will be provided. All other expenses, including transportation and lodging, are the participants’ responsibility.

Ten papers will be accepted for presentation. The conference will consist of a full day of presentations on Friday September 19 and a half-day of presentations on Saturday September 20. Each paper will be allotted 55 minutes, including 30 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for discussant comments, and 15 minutes for discussion from the floor. The number of participants in the conference will be limited. It is expected that participants will read the papers prior to the conference and attend all sessions. While submissions are invited from any geographical location, preference will be given to presenters from the Southeastern region of the United States.
